FIELD APPLICATIONS ENGINEER, PLANO, TX

Diodes Incorporated is seeking a Field Applications Engineers to drive design-in activity and revenue growth for Diodes' entire product portfolio and to help define new products to address existing and emerging customer/market requirements.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining working relationships with key engineering contacts, Diodes' sales representatives and distributor FAEs.
• Present broad-line and application specific solutions to customers and sales channel partners.
• OEM direct Applications/Technical support – Eg. resolving customer issues relating to parametric performance, circuit implementation, prototyping and pre-production support.
• Development and maintenance of Reference Design Partners.
• Applications/Technical support to Sales Network.
• Sales Network Product/Applications training.
• Training sales personnel.
• New product proposals and definition of new product specification requirements.
• Providing feedback to Strategic Marketing to support new product development and introduction.
• Assisting in the creation of Application and Design notes for inclusion into Applications literature and the Diodes' website.
• Extensive travel throughout defined territory, with some overseas travel as necessary.

Knowledge and Skills

• BSEE with 5 + years experience within the semiconductor industry or relevant end product design/manufacture.
• Analog, power conversion or power management circuit design/development experience. Thorough understanding of analog applications specifically in or across all of the following areas: Automotive, Computing, Communications and Industrial sectors.
• Must be commercially aware and possess sound presentation and communication skills.
